The Green Zebra Fall 2017 Soup Club!


This fall, Chef Lindsay Steinberg McGrail has created eight delicious seasonal recipes to warm your body and delight your senses. Join the Green Zebra Fall Soup Club and make these soups the centerpiece of your weekly meals. Add our fresh breads and/or salads with dressing and your choice of protein to create a satisfying lunch or dinner for you and yours!

8 Weeks of Delicious Soup!


Roasted Heirloom Tomato and Basil Bisque – Beautiful heirloom tomatoes from our friends at Buzz's Garden are roasted and blended with fresh basil, a hit of garlic and a little Pittsford Farms Dairy whole milk to create a creamy and delicious soup.
Vegetable Soup – One of our favorites chock full of all sorts of fresh market vegetables simmered in a tomato and herb laced vegetable broth. Very healthy and satisfying!
Caldo Verde – A simple and tasty Portuguese stew comprised of local potatoes, onion, garlic and chorizo sausage simmered with kale and mustard greens.
Avgolemeno – The mixture of eggs, lemon, and hot broth is a classic combination in Greek cooking and orzo pasta is added for sustenance. If there is a classic dish that highlights this combination, it is this one!
Beans and Greens – White cannellini beans swim in a garlicy broth with a blend of local swiss chard, kale and escarole. A healthy Italian favorite!
French Onion – We channel Julia Child, slowly caramelizing local onions and adding then to our house made chicken broth, sherry and a nip of brandy to create a lighter version of this rich and flavorful soup.
Chicken and Poblano Tortilla Soup – A customer favorite filled with shredded chicken, local corn, poblanos (from Lindsay's personal veggie garden!), and other yummy vegetables in a smoky chicken and cilantro broth. Crispy tortillas on the side add delicious texture when added at the table.
Butternut Squash and Black Bean Chili – A hearty combination perfect for fall evenings.

How it Works


Each week, Chef Lindsay Steinberg prepares a fresh soup for you to pick up or have delivered to your home or office. Each quart of soup is 4 cups and serves 2-3 people. The first soup delivery begins on Tuesday September 26th and continues every Tuesday for 8 weeks with the last delivery on November 14th. Delicious!

What it Costs


The all-inclusive cost of $110 includes eight (8) weeks of soups available for pick up at our Fairport location ( 540 Whitney Ave Fairport, NY 14450 ) every Tuesday between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm. 8 weeks of delivery is available for an additional $50, but delivery is limited so don't hesitate!
